Our client, a world leading pharmaceutical company is currently seeking to appoint a Director of Supply Chain

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibility for the Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing and Warehouse Functions, ensuring that the areas of Business Control, Business Improvement, Business Performance and Strategic direction are effectively managed and optimised in the Supply Chain Group.

 

KEY AREAS OF JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Optimise the Value Add Capability of the Supply Chain Group
  • Optimise Customer Management and Delivery Performance
  • Optimise Supplier Delivery and Cost Performance
  • Optimise Production Planning & Control Systems
  • Optimise  Materials Management Processes
  • Optimise the Supply Chain NPI Process
  • Optimise Purchasing Processes and Systems
  • Optimise Internal Synergies and with other Departments
  • Optimise use of Systems and Technology
  • Business Excellence Focus
  • Warehouse Management

 

ACADEMIC/TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferably multi-disciplined in areas such as materials management, (IPICS, IIPMM) and business (accountancy, finance, MBS, MBA)

 

SPECIALIST/TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

Strong understanding of and experience in materials and inventory management

 

EXPERIENCE (TYPE, LEVEL, EXTENT, ETC.):

- 5 to 10 years’ experience gained within a high volume, dynamic manufacturing environment

- Experience within a regulated industry

- Experience in people management

 

ABILITIES AND JUDGEMENT:

- High level of numeracy

- Logical and problem solving skills

- High level of customer orientation/understanding

- Ability to foster and promote internal collaboration
