Leading Medical Waste Management company is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to ensure the market leadership position, through management and development of sales and service organisaition, retaining customers and exploitation of new business opportunities in a profitable way, ensuring local targets are exceeded.
This position will report to the Branch Manager. Key Relationships:
Branch Manager, Branch Secretary, External Customers, Sales Consultants, Sales Coordinator, Other BSM’s
Reporting staff: Sales Consultants and Sales Coordinators
The Regional Sales Manager remit is: (a) To meet branch sales targets (b) To recruit, motivate and manage the branch sales team (c) To develop the overall branch pipeline, developing regional and national business (d) To maintain a technical competence and understanding of the aspects of the company, including products and legislation
The Regional Sales Manager shall: (a) Ensure sufficient on the job training for Consultants and Coordinators to minimise sales churn (b) Manage the sales team against agreed KPI’s (c) Identify and build relationships with potential major new customers across the branch territory (d) Foster good working relationships between sales, admin and service (e) Comply with all health, safety and welfare regulations (f) Report any personal or near-miss incident sustained whilst at work to the Branch Manager/Branch Secretary
The Regional Sales Manager shall: (b) Meet all personal targets for their specific area (c) Develop relationships with existing key clients to encourage growth of current portfolio (d) Develop and manage the pipeline as a key input into forecasts (e) Actively participate with the Branch Manager in the selection of new sales staff (f) Conduct annual performance reviews with all sales staff (g) Coach and identify training requirements for sales staff (up to one day per week) (h) Identify their own training needs and communicate them to their manager (i) Assist in the training of new Consultants as directed by the Branch Manager (j) Ensure an effective branch lead generation programme is in place to fully utilise Consultants (k) Manage monthly sales meetings and provide forecasts for the month’s projected figures (l) Working with the Coordinators to develop effective weekly planning sessions for the Consultants
